Telling Tales is a collaborative project of
ARTSwego and SUNY Oswego that brings five resident
artists to campus working with students on creative projects spanning four multidisciplinary
courses.
Narrator, teller of tales, spinner of yarns, raconteur, bard, minstrel, griot, fabulist, fibber, deceiver, fabricator, historian, documentarian, artist, professor, performer…
From
the 35,000-year-old paintings on the walls of the Lascaux Caves to the
online blogs of the 21st Century, the act of telling tales has been at
the heart of human expression and discovery.
“Telling Tales: The Arts & Discovery” is
a project through ARTSwego that explores the many ways humans tell stories
through art, literature, music and performance. In partnership with
five resident artists, SUNY Oswego students and faculty from across the
disciplines will engage in this elemental act of telling tales.
Special Thank you to Erica Grill & April Frank for providing video of interview.
